General Contracting for the Southern Zone of the University of Macau Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone Campus

The joint venture formed by Jiantai Construction Co., Ltd. and Ming Shun Construction and Properties Co., Ltd. has successfully won the bid for the "General Contracting for the Southern Zone of the University of Macau Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone Campus" project, which was tendered by Guangdong Hengqin UM Higher Education Development Co. Ltd. .The contract construction period is approximately three years, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held on December 12, 2025.

The University of Macau Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone Campus has a planned total land area of approximately 336,000 square meters and a total building area of around 830,000 square meters, including an above-ground area of about 710,000 square meters and an underground area of roughly 120,000 square meters. The entire campus construction project is divided into two sections: the Northern Zone and the Southern Zone, scheduled to be partially operational in 2028 and fully completed in 2029.

The bright and modern multi-functional complex serves as the campus’s iconic landmark, the dark red-toned Central Teaching Building highlights profound cultural heritage, and the School of Design creates an artistic atmosphere through fluid, streamlined spaces to foster creative thinking and interdisciplinary exchange.

The Southern Zone general contracting project, undertaken by our joint venture with Jiantai Construction Co., Ltd., covers the following core components: Undergraduate Colleges, Library Complex, Information Technology Cluster, Central Teaching Building Cluster, Postgraduate Hall, Academic Corridors, and one underground garage. The total building area of this zone is approximately 300,000 square meters.
