The signing ceremony of the Expansion Works of Escola Ilha Verde (The Qingzhou Primary School) da Associacao Comercial de Macau - Secondary School Phase 2 was held on the afternoon of February 19, 2020 at the office of Macao Chamber of Commerce. Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Kou Hoi In, Chairman of the Board of Schools of Macao Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ho Kim Fong, Chairman of Ming Shun Construction And Property Investment Ltd., Mr. Ho Kim Man, Managing Director of “Ming Shun”; Mr. Chan Kun Cheong, Executive Director of JPC Consultadoria De Arquitectura Limitada, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Schools of Macao Chamber of Commerce - Ms. Ho Teng Iat, Mr. U Kin Cho and Mr. Choi Tat Meng; Mr. Leong Heng Wa, Deputy Secretary General of Macao Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Chan Chi Kam, an engineer of Kam In Consultancy Company Ltd., and Mr. Cheong Chit, the principal of The Qingzhou Primary School.

After the signing ceremony of the contract is completed, it represents the official start of the project. Our company expects that the project will be carried out smoothly, completed on schedule and handover to the school.

Project Briefing ：

This project is located at Avenida do Conselheiro Borja no. 480 and 496, Rua Leste da Ilha Verde No. 11, 63 and 69, and Beco de lotus No. 30. the original five-storey primary school building and a one-storey school building near Avenida do Conselheiro Borja, which is the existing “Qingzhou Primary School” site, were built in 1998 as a full-time primary school with attached kindergarten. Founded and managed by Macao Chamber of Commerce.

In order to meet the needs of social development, and committed to facilitating the enrollment of primary school students into secondary school, Macao Chamber of Commerce decided to demolish some parts of the school building near Avenida do Conselheiro Borja on the original campus of Qingzhou Primary School, and expand a 15-storey modern secondary school building with 2-sotrey basement carpark. The original 5-storey school building will remain as the primary school department. The new school building will include a two-story basement carpark, with ground floor for entrance and event space, faculty offices on the first floor, secondary school classrooms on the second to fifth floors, library and multipurpose rooms on the sixth floor, and experiments room and multi-function rooms on the seventh to tenth floors, the 11th floor is the auditorium and multi-function room, the 12th floor is the indoor court (including the third floor from the 12th to the 14th floor), and the rooftop is the outdoor court.

The project is open for public bidding and construction in two phases. At present, the first phase of the project, including demolition, pile foundation and basement excavation / structural works, has been completed by the pre-contractor to the ground floor; and the second phase of the project includes basement fit-out works, structural, architectural and fit-out works of superstructure are contracted by our company.
