Completion Announcement | Project No. 24/2022 – Construction of the Office Building for Public Administration in Lot 25 at NAPE

The Construction of the Office Building for Public Administration in Lot 25 at NAPE undertaken by Ming Shun Construction & Property Investment Ltd  has been successfully completed on schedule under the guidance of the owner, designer, supervisor, quality inspection, and quantity surveying teams. The project was provisionally handed over on October 30, 2024.

This project is located in the New Outer Harbor Reclamation Area near Avenida Dr．Sun Yat－Sen and Xian Xinghai Avenue, covering a total area of 6,480 square meters. The overall plan includes two government office buildings with 12 and 17 floors, respectively, as well as a three-level basement parking lot for government office use. The project adopted a two-stage bidding process, separating the "foundation and basement" works from the "superstructure" works. Our company was responsible for the "foundation and basement" portion.

The main scope of this contract includes the construction of pile foundations, excavation and basement retaining structures, reinforced concrete structures for floors from the third basement level to the ground level, and provisions for mechanical and electrical openings. The foundation adopts a pile cap and beam-slab structure system. The pile foundation consists of drilled cast-in-place piles with diameters of 1.5 meters, 2.0 meters, and 2.5 meters. The basement retaining and support system uses 508 mm diameter steel pipe pile walls with H-shaped steel cross braces, with a waterproof curtain applied to the exterior of the steel pipe piles. High-pressure jet grouting piles with a diameter of 800 mm are installed around the perimeter at the bottom of the excavation to improve soil stability. The basement structure is made of reinforced concrete, with floor heights of 4 meters, 4.5 meters, and 5 meters.
