Construction Project of Temporary Housing Units in Lot C (C1) in Areia Preta Lot P

Project Status as of August 2022

Scope of Work:

This project (Tender C1), one part of the temporary housing project in Areia Preta Lot P owned by the Macau Urban Renewal Limited, includes the construction of two 41-storey-high and two 50-storey-high residential towers of temporary housing units. After the whole Lot P project is completed, there will be a basement parking lot, a four-storey group building and four residential towers. The basement first floor is the parking lot and the equipment rooms; the ground floor is used for the bus terminal, residential lobbies and parking lot entrance, mechanical and electrical rooms and shops; the first to third floors are used for the parking lots and shops; the fourth floor to the top floors of each building are the green platform and residential floors respectively; there will also be two refuge floors. The total construction area of the buildings is about 161,800 square meters.

Current Progress:

Along with the completion of foundation piles and temporary steel support works in July 2022, the Construction Project of Temporary Housing Units in Lot C (C1) in Areia Preta Lot P has entered the phase of foundation excavation and the construction of foundation/basement structure construction. At present, the earth excavation and the construction of the pile platform of the tower are carried out in sequence, in which works such as formwork, steel reinforcement, mass concrete pouring, waterproofing, drainage and lightning protection are involved. In terms of the progress of the foundation engineering, the bored piles were completed in May 2022, the PHC pipe piles were completed in July 2022, the steel sheet piles and the first-stage temporary steel support works were completed in July 2022. And about 60% of the earth excavation work has been completed. The first stage of the pile platform construction of the T1 tower will be completed in August 2022. And the earth excavation and pile platform structure work will be carried out in each district in the planned sequence.
