Pontos de Partida e de Chegada da Quarta Ponte Macau-Taipa – Ligação da Av. Wai Long-progress status

The construction site is located at zone E of Macau New Urban Land, its main works includes the construction of the connecting flyover from Wai Long Road and the Pac On Ferry Terminal into the Fourth Bridge, the reorganization of the surrounding road network and the improvement of the underground sewers, covering an area of approximately 44,500 m2. In order to cooperate with the relocation of the surrounding electrical grid, the connection line will be divided into two stages to execute.

The first stage of the construction is the connecting flyover from Wai Long Road and the Pac On Ferry Terminal into the Fourth Bridge, the dock ramp bridge, part of airport ramp bridge, and the road reorganization of Estrada de Pac On and Rotunda de Pac On. The contract construction period for this stage is 496 working days. Currently, completed rate for bored pile foundation works is up to 34%, construction of reinforced concrete bridge piers plans to commence in the mid of October. On the other hand, processing work of steel box girders has already in progress, which is expected to be field-assembling in November. Underground drainage and road works is also under construction at the same time.

The second stage of the construction is the remaining part of the airport ramp bridge and the road reorganization of the northbound line of Wai Long Road. The contract construction period is 285 working days. The date of commencement for this stage is still waiting for the clients’ commission.
